An allegorical film under the gaze of an artificial intelligence observing the co-trivial As at a turning point, apparently approaching a convergence in their view of reality, beyond which continuity blurs.        If the way we see ≠ the way we don’t see, then the “I” no longer obeys its contraction.               A=NEW SUBJECTS B=EXTERNAL CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT          _η συστολη της κορης _the contraction of the eye, or the difficulty of being an “I”, or the struggle to stand still, remain motionless, move backwards, move in circles, or move fast towards something that is constantly changing. What might different As do at that critical moment when one does not follow the other, when B is disorganized, does not provide feedback, and becomes trapped in an intermediate space-time? Co-trivially, then, the As converge and diverge defensively, creating a generalized vision of disorientation through patterns of behavior and conditionality. Based on the coordinates, the new As cannot connect the dots, are paused, or otherwise harmonized with the environment… Thought is stuck; vision is blurred; consciousness does not return after awakening; the eye is no longer obedient; help does not come from outside; and the end does not signal a new beginning…

THE FUTURE IS HERE – OTHER REALITIES

Continuous disturbances can cause continuous alterations, but the relation between external disturbances and alterations is an interpretation of the observer

_the contraction of the eye

_η συστολη της κορης

This is (not) a film about machines observed by humans, nor the reverse

This is a film about the mediated gaze itself

Giorgos_ I know someone who does that when we talk. Puts me in a box. I feel she wants all the information from me, but doesn’t want to share hers. Maybe it’s a habit she’s picked up here, or she thinks more than she says.

Irene_ (to Xara) I can identify with you a bit. When I’m talking to someone, I can’t help but look away so that I can concentrate on what I’m trying to say. If I try to speak and look into the other person’s eyes, my mind is focused on analysing their face and I lose track of what I’m saying. But when the other person is talking, I can maintain eye contact and listen to what they’re saying.

Xara_ I know that usually, the eyes look away in cases of extreme nervousness or anxiety. Anyway, I do it involuntarily.

If left and right channel ≠ from left and right eye

—You seem to fear the monocular vision of things. Why not a single point of view? Why two hypotheses?

If the practices of looking from being looked as an object of the gaze

I don’t know about you, but the reason I have eyes averted is because I think it’s rude to look directly and intensely at other people when I’m talking to them. I periodically avoid their eyes.

I know that usually, the eyes look away in cases of extreme nervousness or anxiety. Anyway, I do it involuntarily. Maybe because I am shy. I am very sensitive to my surroundings and to any sounds, smells or moving objects around me. I have always been like this, but now the environment has become hostile, very… I am constantly nervous and on the alert. This does not mean that I am an unreliable person. It is a sign with many misinterpretations.
